Who can apply?
Eligibility depends on the program and is set by the Punjab government, the examining board and, for BS programs, the affiliating university. The general rules are:
- Intermediate programs (FSc, ICS, FA, FA IT): applicants need a Matric (SSC) certificate or an equivalent qualification. Your matric subjects matter. FSc Pre-Medical normally expects science with biology, and FSc Pre-Engineering normally expects science with mathematics. Check the exact subject requirements for each group in the prospectus.
- BS programs: applicants need an Intermediate (HSSC) certificate or equivalent. Each BS program has its own minimum marks and subject conditions under the affiliating university’s policy. Confirm the exact criteria for your program before applying.
- Merit: admission is based on merit, using the marks in your qualifying exam, in line with government policy. The minimum marks and last year’s closing merit for each program are [add from college records].
- Equivalence: if your certificate is from a board outside Punjab or from an international system, you may need an equivalence or verification certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC). Ask the college office whether this applies to you.
